Women are powerhouses of design!

This is a motion graphic for a rebranded KnowHer design conference highlighting the achievements of women in the design industry. The concept for this 3-day event is that women are powerhouses, and this event will take you through the circuit of success.

THE POWER:

• Day 1 consists of keynote speakers who are pioneers for women in the design industry including April Greiman, Zuzana Licko, and Paula Scher.

THE ELECTRICITY:

• Day 2 honors the work of international designers whose works have circumnavigated the world, among them Teresa Sdralevich, Sue Doeksen, and Marta Veludo.

THE CONDUCTORS:

• Day 3 is dedicated to the current energy of the design industry. These are the bright bulbs of the future, the students and design apprentices. There will be a showcase where students are given the opportunity to share their work with other key players in the industry.

I created this motion graphic using letters cut from chipboard. Then I strung across the room using nothing but sewing thread, and casted a moving shadow across the wall using two flashlights, using Adobe After Effects for post-production editing.
